Web Casino Sucker Bets — Part II

  • Progressive side wagers: Games such as Caribbean Stud Poker often offer one of these. You generally put a wager ($1 is the usual value) to try to win a bonus jackpot that could be upwards of $25,000. Although huge jackpots like this are particularly appealing, they’re also very hard to succeed. You might have to hit a Royal Flush in order to win this wager. Also, picture this- you wager twenty hands and lay the side wager each time. That’s $20 you should have used towards the real game bet instead of a sucker wager. Just think about what you could have been able to win at a bet with greater odds utilizing that 20 dollars.
  • Single number bets in Roulette: This is especially true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has 2 0’s on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has only one. This takes the complete house advantage from 2.63percent with a single zero wheel to a whopping 5percent in American. The one number bet has just a 1 in 38 chance of succeeding, which are very long odds indeed. Bet on even-odd or black-red bets alternately which have a much lower casino advantage.
  • Keno: Any version of Keno, and regardless of how you bet on it, the casino edge can be a huge 25%. Yes, that was not a typo. Because of the huge set of numbers you have to select, it is not recommended to wager on Keno very much. A few times for fun, perhaps. But don’t waste all your money on it or you’ll immediately find yourself bankrupt.
